LRP3 Deconstruction (System A & B)

The LRP3 Deconstruction (System A & B) was a component of BHPB's multi-billion dollar Inner Harbour Rapid Growth Project to increase Pilbara iron ore exports to 300MTPA. The Inner Harbour Rapid Growth Project is managed by EPCM Fluor SKM Iron Ore Joint Venture (FAST JV) for BHPB Iron Ore.

Project Overview

In order to allow for expansion within the Nelson Point Inner Harbour, the Lump Rescreening Plant (LRP3) needed to be deconstructed which involved the removal of the Tertiary Screening Building (TSB2) and all associated conveyors, screens, chutes and steelwork.

Scope of Work

Goodline were contracted to execute the complete structural, mechanical and piping removal of the LRP3 including the removal of the TSB2. Goodline expended in excess of 90,000 direct man hours and utilised subcontractors SIMS Metal to remove 3,500T of steel. Goodline's scope included:

  • Overland conveyors including trestles and supports
  • Feeders
  • Screens
  • Chutes
