
T45 Port Expansion Project
The T45 Expansion Project was established by Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) to develop a mine to port export infrastructure capable of annual iron ore exports of 45MTPA. The project included the construction of the Cloudbreak Mine Site Ore Processing Plant and Train Loading Facility, a 250km Rail Link between the Cloudbreak Mine and Port Hedland and a Port Stockyard and Shiploading Facility at Anderson Point, Port Hedland.
Project Overview
A component of Fortescue Metals Group's (FMG) T45 Expansion Project was the development of a Port Stockyard and Shiploading Facility at Anderson Point, Port Hedland. The Port Facility would be capable of iron ore exports of 45MTPA and includes the following infrastructure:
- Train unloading system
- Overland conveyor network
- Stockyard machines including 2 stackers & 1 reclaimer
- Dual berth wharf with 1 shiploader
Scope of Work
Goodline were contracted to execute the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation and civil packages associated with the Port Facility located at Anderson Point. Goodline managed and constructed the following scope:
Civil
- Conveyor foundations (concrete bored piers totalling 10km)
- Transfer and sample station foundations
SMP
- Installation and alignment of a conveyor network including 7 conveyor systems totalling 10km
- Installation of 4 transfer stations
- Installation of 1 sample station
- Installation of conveyor belts totalling 20km including 70 belt splices
- Transfer station process water piping and spray bar systems
E&I
- Mechanical, electrical & instrumentation commissioning and initial operation support
